In 1705, Peter the Great, wishing to keep up with the styles in Europe, imposed a beard tax upon all those who wore either a beard or a moustache. Those who paid the tax were required to carry a Beard Token.

This is a Zinc Alloy replica of that original Beard Token with an attached bottle opener and a stainless steel keychain loop. If you have the pewter version, this has a different feel to it, though it's still heavy and rugged and ready to pull a lifetime of bottle caps off beers.
